But what has happened over the last 2 months? 1. Shai got hurt and had to sit out a small chunk of games 2. Jokic got hurt and when he returned the Nuggets lost ground in the standings 3. Wemby and the Spurs have been absolutely DOMINANT 4. Luka Doncic has been the best scorer in the NBA, leading the Lakers to a top-3 seed. All of these things have led to truly one of the most fascinating 4-player MVP race in recent memory. You could give any of these four players the MVP award tomorrow, and it would be hard to have a strong argument AGAINST them.
